Grid-Connected Solar Photovoltaic System for Nile Tilapia Farms in Southern Mexico: Techno-Economic and Environmental Evaluation

Tilapia farming is the predominant aquaculture activity, with 4623 farms in Mexico alone. It relevant to apply technological alternatives mitigate production costs, mainly those associated supporting energy savings for aeration and water pumping farms. There limited information confirming feasibility of implementing photovoltaic systems connected grid (On grid-PV) The working hypothesis proposed development work was that On Grid PV are technically feasible, economically viable environmentally acceptable. Therefore, objective this research design a grid-connected system rural analyze it assessment through technical, economic environmental variables, as part link between academia productive sector. Thus, capital recovered 4.7 years thanks obtained by generating 2429 kW/h month. As environment, estimated 11,221 kg CO2 equivalent would be released into atmosphere without Grid-PV. In conclusion, accepted confirmed installations acceptable; their implementation imply possibility produce at lower minimized impact terms energy. recommended farmers world implement eco-technology supports sustainable aquaculture.
